Modern health practise is increasingly focused on treating the needs of the individual and their symptoms. This is somewhat at odds with the research that holds that sweeping positive changes to the social determinants of health are bought about by awareness and cultural behaviour. Interventions focused on an entire population, have a far greater impact on total population.
Programs such as Lunchbox Blitz, Lifeline South West, Municipal Health and Wellbeing Strategies by Local Government help everyone be happier, healthier and more connected to their community.
South West Primary Care Partnership is dedicated to this concept and supports many programs that have a focus on improving health, at scale, across the entire population of our catchment area.
